Microsoft Windows 2003 And Windows 2000 |
REDPLAID provides our customers the ability to license and run Microsoft Windows 2003 Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition under the Microsoft Service Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA) as optional operating systems on all of our dedicated servers under the Microsoft Service Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA), along with Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 Advanced Server. This means that customers pay for their use of Microsoft software on a monthly basis without any long-term commitments or maintenance fees.
Windows 2003 Standard Edition is an ideal choice for high-performance web, email, database and application hosting. Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition is required when you have multiple servers that require active/passive failover clustering or when you require more than 4 GB of RAM in your server. Windows 2000 Server is an excellent choice for clients that have older ASP-based applications that require IIS version 5.0. Windows 2000 Advanced Server would be required for clients that have older ASP-based applications that require IIS version 5.0 and that also need more than 4GB of RAM in their server.

REDPLAID's pricing is based upon the number of CPU's in each server. Dual-core CPUs only count as a single CPU under Microsoft's licensing model. REDPLAID supports Microsoft SQL Server 2000 & 2005 Workgroup, Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition.
