Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0 & 5.0 ES
REDPLAID offers Red Hat Enterprise 4 and 5, the most reliable Linux distributions from the world's most popular Linux vendor, as an optional operating system on all of our dedicated servers. All of our Red Hat Enterprise installations are registered with Red Hat's Up2date service, which includes automated installation of new packages and security updates.

CentOS Linux 5.x
REDPLAID also offers CentOS Linux 5.x, a community-supported, freely-available Linux operating system. REDPLAID will provide best effort support for CentOS. Technical support is primarily provided by the CentOS community via official mailing lists, web forums, and chat rooms.

WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEMS: |
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 & Windows Server 2008
REDPLAID provides our customers the ability to license and run Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (Standard & Enterprise Editions), and Windows Server 2008 (Standard, Enterprise & Data Center Editions) under the Microsoft Service Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA) as optional operating systems on all of our dedicated servers. This means that customers pay for their use of Microsoft software on a monthly basis without any long-term commitments or maintenance fees. Software products such as Exchange, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, Terminal Services, and Citrix require Authenticated User licenses.

CPANEL CONTROL PANEL FOR LINUX: |
cPanel & WebHost Manager (WHM) is a next generation web hosting control panel system. Both cPanel and WHM are extremely feature rich as well as include an easy to use web based graphical user interface (GUI). WebHost Manager allows you to - but is not limited to - administer individual accounts, reseller accounts and perform basic system & control panel maintenance via a secure interface. cPanel is designed for the end users of your system and allows them to control everything from adding and removing email accounts to administering MySQL databases. PARALLELS PLESK PANEL FOR WINDOWS OR LINUX: |
REDPLAID dedicated servers can be configured with the Plesk 9.0 for Windows or Plesk 9.0 for Linux and the optional Plesk Power Pack. The Plesk family of control panel solutions is powered by the most comprehensive set of features available to hosting professionals today. You strive to make your infrastructure more efficient, improve productivity and deliver more applications. Plesk allows you to do all this faster, more securely, more easily and at lower cost.
The Plesk "Power Pack" is available as an additional add-on for a small monthly fee. The Power Pack is a bundle that includes many powerful add-ons like SpamAssassin, Application Pack, Helpdesk, Tomcat, ColdFusion, and PostgreSQL.

REDPLAID provides our customers the ability to license and run Microsoft's most common applications on all REDPLAID servers under the Microsoft Service Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA), including Microsoft Exchange (which includes licenses for Outlook for each user), Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, SharePoint Portal Server, Microsoft Terminal Services, and Microsoft Office. This means that customers pay for their use of Microsoft software on a monthly basis without any long-term commitments or maintenance fees. Each product is licensed by the number of named users.

REDPLAID provides our customers the ability to license and run Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 on all REDPLAID Windows Dedicated Servers and Cloud Computing Solutions under the Microsoft Service Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA). This means that customers pay for their use of Microsoft SQL Server software on a monthly basis without any long-term commitments or maintenance fees. REDPLAID's pricing is based upon the number of CPU's in each server. Dual-core and quad-core CPUs only count as a single CPU under Microsoft's licensing model.

SmarterTrack (formerly SmarterTicket) has been re-built from the ground up to function equally well as both a stand-alone customer service tracking and ticketing system as well as in customer-support-as-a-service environments-giving compete flexibility to hosting companies and organizations with multiple branding strategies. REDPLAID offers our customers the ability to provide secure transactions on their websites with QuickSSL Certificates, True BusinessID SSL Certificates and True BusinessID Wildcard SSL Certificates from GeoTrust. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the easily implemented standard protocol for transaction security. SSL creates a secure, encrypted communications link between your REDPLAID server and your Customer's browser. Once the link is established all communication between your REDPLAID server and your Customer's browser will remain confidential.
QuickSSL SSL Certificates provide domain authentication and display a static GeoTrust True Site Seal. True BusinessID SSL Certificates provide full organization authentication by displaying a GeoTrust True Site Seal with company name and date/time stamp. REDPLAID customers can also purchase True BusinessID Wildcard SSL Certificates for websites containing multiple sub-domains on a single server, such as "shopping.yoursite.com", "signup.yoursite.com", "www.yoursite.com", etc.
All GeoTrust SSL Certificates provide up to 256-bit SSL encryption and ubiquitous compatibility with 99+% of all browsers and most mobile browsers. All SSL certificates are warranted by Geortrust.
